Keeping track of pregnancies is key to managing your farm’s breeding program in Pigax. It helps you monitor expected farrowing dates and improve piglet production.

Before a sow or gilt is registered as pregnant, there must be a successfull mating. This involves 2 steps namely, register mating and confirm pregnancy. Follow these steps to record a pregnancy easily.

Register Mating

Step 1. Click “Events“ on the menu section

Step 2. Select “Pregnancy Monitor”

Step 3. Click on "Add New" on the Pregnancy Overview

Step 4. Select the sow and fill in all the information required.

Step 5. Click Submit

Now you have successfully recorded a Mating

Note that mating must be confirmed before they are regarded as a pregnancy.

Confirm Pregnancy

On the pregnancy overview, go to the Pigs record and click on "Confirm Mating"

After a sow is confirmed pregnant the system expects you to confirm farrowing when the time is due
