To manage your farm properly in Pigax, you need to set up the types of feed. This helps you keep clear records and track what each pig receives.

There are 2 ways to configure feed types on Pigax

Premixed Feed

This is ready-made commercial feed that you buy and give directly to your pigs without any changes. Choose this option when using professionally prepared feeds from suppliers.

Feed Mix.

This is a custom feed that you create by combining different ingredients like corn, soybean meal, and supplements. When creating a Feed Mix, you can only select from the available feed components already registered in your list. If you need a new ingredient, you can easily add it by clicking "Add Components".

Choosing the correct feed type helps you manage your feeding records more accurately. Follow these steps to add a feed type in Pigax.

• How to add Premixed Feed

Step 1. Click “Farm Setup“ on the menu section

Step 2. Select “Feed”

Step 3. Select “Pre-Mixed Feed" tab on the Feed Overview

Step 4. Click on "Add Premixed Feed"

Step 5. Fill in the feed information

Step 6. Click submit

Now you have added a new Premixed Feed Unit in your farm account.

• How to add Feed Mix

Step 1. Click “Farm Setup“ on the menu section

Step 2. Select “Feed”

Step 3. Select “Feed Mix" tab on the Feed Overview

Step 4. Click on "Add Feed Mix"

Step 5. Fill in the feed name and add feed componnent on the dropdown list

Remember that you can only select from the available feed components already registered in your list. If you need to add ingredient, you can easily add it by clicking "Add Components".

Step 6. Click "Save"

Note: The Show Estimate button helps you see the cost of the feed you have mixed, but this wil only work when you have purchased the ingredients and registered the cost of the ingredients.

How to add ingreedients

Step 1: Click on the Feed Mix tab on the Feed Overview

Step 2: Click on Feed Mix Components

Step 3: Enter ingredient name and click "Save"
