It gives you an overview of pig counts, financial performance, and key farm infrastructure—all at a glance. Helping you make informed decisions quickly and efficiently.

The Pig Overview

This section gives a quick summary of all pigs currently in your farm, categorized by their growth stage or reproductive role. It helps you track population structure, monitor production trends, and keep tabs on breeding activities. It includes the following information

Total Pigs

Displays the total number of pigs currently recorded on your farm, including piglets, boars, sows, and all other age groups.

Piglets

Shows the number of newly born pigs in your farm that are currently nursing and are too young to be weaned.

Weaners

Counts the pigs that have been recently weaned from their mothers and are now being raised independently. These pigs are still fed with creep feed as they are not yet at the grower stage.

Growers

Represents the number of pigs on your farm that have moved past the weaner stage and are in the growth phase, but are not yet ready for finishing.

Finishers

Represents the number of pigs that are at market weight or close to market weight, typically the final stage before they are sold.

Gilts/Sows

Shows the number of female pigs you have selected for the sole purpose of breeding on your farm. Gilts are young females that have not yet farrowed, while sows are mature females that have given birth.

Boar

Displays the number of male pigs used for breeding purposes.

Pregnant

Tracks how many female pigs are currently registered as pregnant. This helps in planning for future litters and managing farrowing schedules.

Pens

Displays the total number of active pens registered in your farm. Each pen can hold one or more pigs, and you can assign pigs to specific pens to track movement, growth, and cleanliness.

Note: Check this number often to make sure your records are up to date. It helps you know if pigs have been missed or duplicated.

Finance Overview

This section provides an overview of your farm’s financial activity—helping you manage your revenue, control expenses, and understand your overall profitability. It includes the following information:

Sales

Shows the total revenue generated from the sale of pigs or any other farm sales like dung for the current year. This helps you track farm earnings.

Expenses

This shows the total amount of money spent on the farm for the current year, which includes feed expenses and farm expenses like medications, utilities and equipments.

Feed Cost

Captures the cost of feed consumed by the pigs. This cost accumulates dailly as pigs consume feed prescribed on the feed plan. Feed is one of the largest recurring costs in pig farming, so this value helps in monitoring feed efficiency and budgeting.
