Why can't I see my pigs after switching farms?

In Pigax, each farm operates as a separate workspace, containing its own data—including pig records, health logs, and breeding history. If you’ve recently switched farms and can’t see your pigs, don’t worry. This guide explains the possible reasons and how to resolve them so you can get back to managing your livestock smoothly.

Step 1: Confirm You’re in the Correct Farm

  1. Look at the farm name displayed at the top of your dashboard or sidebar.

  2. If it doesn’t match the farm you expect, switch between farms to navigate to the correct one:

    • Click on your profile icon or farm dropdown menu

    • Select the farm you want to manage from the list

🔄 Switching farms will update all visible data to match that specific location.

 

Step 2: Check User Permissions

If you're in the correct farm but still don't see any pigs:

  • You might not have permission to view animal records on that farm.

  • Contact the Farm Admin and ask them to check your roles and permissions:

    • You should have at least Viewer or Editor access to see pig data.

Note: Users with only limited access may see empty dashboards or restricted menus.

 

Step 3: Verify That Data Exists

It’s possible that the selected farm doesn’t have any pigs registered yet:

  • If you have the proper role, you can start adding pigs to the farm account.

Step 4: Contact Support

If you still can’t see any pigs:

  • Contact the Pigax Support Team

  • Include:

    1. Your account email

    2. The name of the farm you're accessing

    3. What you expected to see

    4. Any screenshots or error messages
